OCTOBER’S PEARL OF WISDOM FROM BERKELEY COMMUNICATION GROUP

October 19, 2011

Three cures for writer’s block.

1. Think visually. Try to ‘picture’ what you want to say in words. Then describe your pictures.

2. Read other copy for inspiration. For example, how might a tabloid newspaper treat your story?

3. Don’t agonise over the perfect sentence. Get the whole story down by writing non-stop, forgetting style and grammar. Then go back and edit.

Writer’s block is curable!
