A Message of Thanks…

December 23, 2011

I’m writing to thank you all for the valuable work you’ve carried out on behalf of the Foundation this year which makes such a difference to the lives of the people we support. People like Sarah, who was very nervous and unsure about her future when she first came to St Loye’s. However, after gaining an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and relocating to Exeter, Sarah is now employed full time as a healthcare worker and has a bright future ahead.

Our Exeter base continues to support a wide range of service users and client groups throughout the country and we now have thriving satellite offices in Warrington and Cardiff.

Our Residential Training provides people with the skills, confidence and experience needed to secure a successful working future while our range of Care and Support services enables people to make the best use of their personal budgets or direct payments to help them realise their aspirations. In addition, our recently launched Transitions service is now helping service veterans to adjust to life in ‘Civvy Street’ and our Social Enterprise ‘St Loye’s IT Solutions’ includes competitive computer sales, repairs and recycling plus a website design service.

As you know, next year we celebrate 75 years of supporting people with disabilities and health issues and have several events planned to mark this tremendous achievement including asking 75 people to do a sponsored tandem skydive from 15,000 feet!

I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year and thank you again for your support which really does help to improve people’s lives.

Best wishes,

Phil
