Seminar and Speaker Opportunities

For all Business Network SW members these opportunities can be taken as part of your membership – no cost, no charges – absolutely free!

Seminars

Take time to think about

• What benefit will your seminar bring to those who attend
• What will be attract people to attend
• Can you work with other Business Network members to deliver more – for example a subject such as data protection could have a legal company, document company, IT Company all delivering a seminar that covers many aspects.  The recent seminar in Exeter on avoiding IT’s was jointly hosted by WBW Solicitors and Gravitas Recruitment giving a greater insight.  4 charities worked together to deliver a great seminar on Cause Related Marketing.

Business Network SW supplies the room, the coffees, the equipment (projector, screen, flip chart), will publicise the seminar by direct email, website listings and social media.  As a seminar host you have the opportunity to promote the seminar to your database (templates can be provided) and Business Network SW will handle all bookings, payments etc.  All people who wish to attend the seminar will have to pay for the event – seminar followed by networking lunch.

If you wish to host a seminar please contact me with the date (with some alternatives) you would like and a short synopsis of what you will cover.

For non Members – The cost to host a seminar is £400 + VAT (includes 1 lunch) – Once your date has been confirmed then you will be invoiced for £400 + VAT and this must be paid at least 2 weeks before the date of the seminar you are hosting.  If you are hosting a seminar with other people then the charge for lunch will be £27.50 per person (this includes VAT)

Speaker Opportunities

There are also 10 minute speaker slots available at each event – if you would like to benefit from this opportunity then please contact me with date(s) and what you would talk about.  Something informative, enlightening, even entertaining is far more preferable to a 10 minute sales pitch.

For non Members – The cost of this is £119 and includes one networking lunch.    Once your date has been confirmed then you will be invoiced for £119 + VAT and this must be paid at least 2 weeks before the date of the seminar you are hosting.
