The Business Seminar/workshop

“Effecting change in the current economic climate”

Coffee from 10am and seminar starts at 10.30am.  Hosted by Simon Denton – Partner at Milsted Langdon

The current economic climate presents unprecedented challenges for businesses of all size and states of financial health.

It is often said that every challenge presents its own opportunities.

There may be no magic solutions but Simon Denton, partner at Milsted Langdon LLP offers some pragmatic, sensible advice (in plain English) on managing changes, giving examples of how some of our most successful clients are making the most of even the most challenging of circumstances.

Simon will also be passing on some of the wisdom from Milsted Langdon’s own Consultant Economist, Kevin Butler.  Kevin has held various roles for the Bank of England before setting up his own consultancy sharing my research and views on economic and financial topics.

The Networking Lunch

Pre lunch drinks and informal networking from 11.45am.  Sit down for 2 course lunch with coffee at 12.30pm

During the lunch each decision maker at your table will have 3 minutes to explain to the others the benefits that you and your organisation can offer; the type of business that you are looking for and also how other businesses can help you.  Be memorable so that other people will be able to remember and refer.

  • Introduce yourself an your company/organisation
  • Outline what you do – the benefits that you bring to your customers/clients
  • What type of customers/clients are you looking to build relationships with?
  • How could the people around the table help you or your customers/contacts?   What are you looking to purchase, what challenges do you have (also think about this from the perspective of your clients)
  • Can you refer the people around the table to others that you know?
  • A great tip – look at who you’ve been helping/working with or who you are getting together with in next few weeks – this will demonstrate your business!
