Bristol Business Expo set to Smash Records

January 27, 2012

Bristol’s biggest business networking event takes place again next month – and looks set to smash previous visitor records.
Up to 1,500 people are expected to attend The Best of Bristol Business Exhibition at Ashton Gate, a rise of 25 per cent on the previous year.
The event on February 28th is designed to promote trading between regional businesses, and more than 100 local companies have already snapped up stands.
The Lord Mayor, Councillor Geoff Gollop, will officially open the exhibition at 10am at the Ashton Gate Conference Centre.
Organiser Neil Kinnerly said the exhibition was the 10th event of its kind to date and would mark a “special milestone” for The Best of Bristol.
He said: “The Best of Bristol Exhibition in February marks a very special milestone for us, as it is the 10th event of its kind so far.
“We are expecting a massive turnout and predict numbers to be at least 25 per cent higher than the event last year. A number of stands are still available; however we are expecting a sell-out event once again”
The event will offer visitors a variety of free business seminars including those on Mobile Marketing, The Bribery Act, sales training, and Health and Safety legislation – presented by John Conrad from Bristol City Council.

Key partners include Bristol City Council, public relations agency Palamedes PR, Bristol City Football Club, Destination Bristol and N3 Display Graphics. The event itself is sponsored by AMC Communications.

Mr Kinnerly said a percentage of the profits would be donated to St Peter’s Hospice. He added: “The Best of Bristol Exhibition is an important networking event for all and every business in the city and region. It’s a one-stop-shop that could build vital bridges between organisations, and help new businesses gain the support they so desperately require.”
