Business Invest- 2012 Campaign

Around half of new businesses struggle to make it through the first year and keeping any company afloat in the current economy has its challenges.

A new business-boosting competition for Devon businesses has been created with an impressive £10,000-worth of prizes for the winner, along with a free ebook of top tips which any business can implement without cost.

Eight Westcountry businesses have joined forces to offer one lucky Devon-based business the chance of winning £10,000 of FREE business services known as the ‘Business Invest’ campaign.

The ‘Business Invest 2012 Campaign’ was the brainchild of Sam Hembury, founder of Evado Media, a leading signage and graphics company based on Marsh Barton, Exeter. To create the prize fund, Evado Media has joined forces with other top regional businesses including Francis Clark, Cobalt Communications, Optix Solutions, Business Network South West, Cloud Nine PR & Marketing, Everys Solicitors and Just90 TV.

Sam explains, “I know only too well how tough it can be to get things off the ground. I came up with the idea of offering a free signage and graphics giveaway competition, to give a winning local company a boost in these tough economic times. That’s now grown to be a complete business-boost with all the services a winning business needs. I guess you could see it as our way of saying ‘thank you’ to Devon.”

Jim Taylor, director of Cobalt Communications, said:

“Ultimately the aim is to help that particular business grow and we feel we have grouped together the right mix to help achieve that goal.”

From FREE assistance with accountancy, to branding, media relations and legal advice – the support package pretty much encompasses everything a business needs to succeed and what’s more, it is ABSOLUTELY FREE FOR DEVON BUSINESSES TO ENTER.

The Judging Panel comprises local business personalities and supporters of South West business development. Running an expert eye over the award submissions will be Sonia Meaden OBE, Hugo Swire MP, Angela Wright MBE (founder of Crealy Great Adventure Parks), Robin Jackson (Chief Executive of Penninsula Innovations Ltd), Richard Wyatt-Haines (international speaker, event chairman, facilitator and consultant, Director of Just90 TV) and John Snell (former District Commander for Somerset, Avon & Somerset Constabulary).

The Business Invest 2012 Campaign is open to SMEs (small and medium size businesses with less than 250 employees) located within a qualifying post code area – either in Exeter, Dartmoor, East, Mid or South Devon.
