‘Hats’ the way to raise money for charity!
Head/brain injury charity, Headway Somerset needs you to help it raise vital funds by taking part in ‘Hats for Headway Day’ and donning a wacky hat for a day.
Headway Somerset, which helps people to rebuild their lives following brain injury, is asking for local companies, community organisations, schools and colleges to sign up and get involved with the event, which takes place on Friday 18 May.
“Hats for Headway Day is a fun and easy way to raise vital funds for the charity,” said Alison Mills from Headway Somerset. “All you need to do is make a small donation of, say, £1 and wear a hat for the day in honour of Headway. Of course, the wackier the hat, the better!
“Offices or schools could even run a competition to acknowledge the best hat worn on the day, which will make it even more fun.
“All the money raised from the event will go towards helping us continue to support local people affected by brain injury, which can devastate lives and happen to anyone at any time. So please sign up, get involved and help us to continue to improve life after brain injury.”
Last year’s event saw a number of businesses, and organisations in the county get involved, including Foot Anstey solicitors, who are taking part again this year to raise much needed funds for the charity.
