Launch of the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy

April 16, 2012

Launch of the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at Somerset College

30th April, 5pm – 6.30pm

Our guest speaker will be Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, founder of the popular Black Farmer range of products and most well-known for their sausages which can be found in supermarkets around the country.

Founded by Peter Jones CBE, leading entrepreneur and one of the stars of TV’s ‘Dragons’ Den’

The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy has a mission to train and motivate young people, unleash entrepreneurial talent and create opportunities for young people to realise their potential. We are delighted to be able to bring the Academy to Somerset for the first time, enabling us to offer the BTEC Level 3 in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship course to students in the area aged between 16 and 19 from September 2012. This unique course involves students setting up and running their own businesses.

The Academy works with a network of businesses and entrepreneurs. The network’s expertise goes a long way towards fulfilling many aspects of our students’ learning, including helping to deliver master classes, work experience, business challenges, workshops and company visits.

Come along to the Launch to find out more about the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.

You can also meet Grant Ridley – A star Peter Jones Enterprise Academy pupil from 2011, he won the title of Peter Jones National Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 and National BTEC Student of the Year 2011.
