Exeter Business Network members The HR Dept and Mango Personnel are delighted to announce that they will be holding the first in a new series of workshops designed for SME businesses who employ staff
Thursday 17th May 2012 (8.00 am to 10.00am) at Basepoint Business Centre, Exeter
First in a series of interactive workshops that provide information and ideas on every aspect of recruitment and how to maximise the potential of employees. These workshops will be short (a couple of hours) and interactive to give you all you’ll need to be confident in the topic.
The workshop is on Recruitment and takes place between 8.00am and 10.00am on Thursday 17th May at Basepoint Business Centre. We will be co-hosting with Belinda Newton from The HR Dept (whose articles feature regularly on our blogsite!) to give you the confidence to find the right person to work in your organisation knowing that you have been legally compliant throughout the process. What’s more, as well as being able to listen, learn and interact with like-minded people, you will also have the opportunity to build your network with other local professionals.
The key areas that the workshop will cover are:
- How to write a job description and person specification
- Where and how to advertise your vacancy effectively
- How to create job adverts to attract the right person
- What would be the best application process for you
- How to conduct interviews
- How to write a contract of employment for your new employee
