News from WNW Design – Apple iPhone 5, Cookie policy, Twitter Joke Trial

Rumours have it that Apple will announce the new iPhone possibly called the iPhone 5 plus a new iPod Nano via a special announcement on 12^th September. The products will then be available for retail from 21^st September. There is also a possibility that Apple will announce the iPad Mini on the same day.

“Apple Sources” also suggest that Apple will annoy millions of iPhone owners by including a new, smaller connector in the next version of its iconic device, rendering current accessories potentially obsolete.

However adaptors or a range of compatible gadgets are expected, should Apple decide to go with the smaller connector.

As we discussed in last month’s newsletter, the dust seems to have settled around Cookie Policy and the rules are becoming clear.

Many website owners have made or are making changes to their website to inform users what Cookies are on the website, what they do, how long they last etc.

A man found guilty of sending a menacing tweet threatening to blow up an airport has won a challenge against his conviction.

High Profile support from Stephen Fry, Al Murray and millions of Twitter users was given to Paul Chambers, 28, of Northern Ireland, was found guilty in May 2010 of sending a “menacing electronic communication”.

He was living in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, when he tweeted that he would blow up nearby Robin Hood Airport when it closed after heavy snow.
