WOW – what a fantastic result – Money Bag day supporting Jessie May Trust

December 13, 2012

12/12/12 – Money Bag in the Chinese calendar – and it did live up to it’s name!

A day that started with a seminar hosted by Peter Guest of Gameplans talking about our Emotional Intelligence (EI) and the importance of this in our everyday dealings – with reference made to Wechsler, Salvoney and Meyer, Howard Gardner and Daniel Goleman we were taken through a whistle stop tour of how imporatnt EI is in realtion to IQ – Goleman quotes that IQ is between 4 and 25% of what is needed to be most effective – the remaining % is down to our EI.

EI in a nutshell – our self awareness, self management, empathy and putting this together socially.  In turn this can lead to inspirational leadership, influence, the ability to develop others, be a catalyst for change, build bonds, manage conflict and develop teamwork and collaboration.  For more information on this feel free to visit Gameplans

The networking opened with a heartwarming presentation by Chris Roys – CEO of The Jessie May Trust with vignettes spoken by Chris Gordon, Inge Dowden and Alice Isbell followed by a video from The X Factor with Tilly- May’s story.
