A great way to end the year! Heads up to Headway Somerset
The last Business Network SW event of 2012 was the December event for Taunton Business Network.
Held at The Castle hotel and supporting Headway Somerset those attending heard a genuinely heartfelt , moving and inspirational story told by John Stafford and his wife May-Ann. John told about his active life in business and running a martial arts club and how this all changed on the way to a training course when he suffered a brain haemorage which led to over 5 weeks in hospital. It was at this point that Headway Somerset came in to his and Mary Ann’s life offering support and assistance which has made such a positive impact on John and Mary Ann’s lives. Headway Somerset is a local, independent charity helping people across the county to live as independent a life as possible after brain injury. It promotes a wider understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provides information, support and services for people with brain injury. It also provides assistance in accessing and signposting other services as well as much needed respite care for family and carers.
