The guest speaker Derek Brunt – Juiceplus – delivered a thought provoking 10 minutes on the importance of fruit and vegetables in reducing the “free radicals” that our everyday life produces through stress, alcohol, smoking and diet – “antioxidants are substances that may protect cells from the damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals. Examples of antioxidants include beta-carotene, lycopene, vitamins C and E, and other substances. Many of these antioxidant substances come from fruits and vegetables.”

The Devon Air Ambulance Trust is the charity which raises the funds to keep 2 emergency Air Ambulances flying. This is no small feat as each and every year we have to raise in the region of £4.5 million to keep both of the helicopters airborne.

Our vision for Devon is an outstanding, independent and efficient Air Ambulance service, available to all, 24 hours a day

Our mission is to relieve sickness and injury in the county of Devon by assisting in the provision of an Air Ambulance Service

We place children for adoption from throughout the UK, who have experienced loss and upheaval. We find for them stable, loving families in Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

We are special because we have a ‘forever’ policy of support and this means that we offer support to the child and new family for as long as they need us.
