Not only a man of words – a room full of conversation
“Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it” –
so said Samuel Johnson ( b 18/9/1709) – a true man of words. The same can be said when it comes to generating opportunities for your business. That’s opportunities for more knowledge, advice, referrals, leads and building great business relationships.
The words that I would use to describe the recent Bristol Business Network event are Fantastic! Fabulous! Fun! A big thank you to everyone for participating and contributing to the Bristol Business Network event, held at Hilton Garden Inn on 18th September 2013. Everyone brought a tremendous amount of conversation, energy and enthusiasm.
In terms of words the most important at a Business Network SW lunch are those between the people at the event. To help facilitate this
one of the “rules” that we have at Business Network SW events is about the mobile devices. As people who attend the event have taken the time to come and meet people and have meaningful conversations then the distraction of a ring tone or a vibrate can disrupt the flow. That is why there is a fine system in place – all fines – £10/ring. per vibrate are donated to, in Bristol Business Network’s case, The Jessie May Trust. It must be working as I have had to write the following…..

More on the The Jessie May Trust – Created by a family for families
Jessica May died at home aged 4 1/2 months surrounded by her family and supported by a team of nurses. Her parents created Jessie May to ensure that every child who is not expected to reach adulthood receives nursing care within the home. Since 1996 we have been providing this care, free of charge, in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
