28 November 2013 is the date! We would so appreciate your help in seeing if any of your clients would like to be involved in this innovative event.
The idea!
We would like to ‘lock up’ 10 well known/influential people of Devon as part of our Jail and Bail event on 28 November in aid of the British Red Cross in Exeter.
Jail and Bail Event (supported by Exeter City Football Club)
We would like to ‘lock up’ some of your clients along with other ‘felons’ at Exeter City Football Club. Their ‘jail’ will be a directors box and you have to raise ‘bail’ (which is a minimum of £500) to be released! This will be the first British Red Cross Jailed & Bailed event in Devon (it has been running in London for quite a few years!) and we are seeking 10 felons to help us raise a minimum of £5000. This event will really help us raise the profile of all the work the British Red Cross undertakes in the Devon area, whilst at the same time highlighting our humanitarian work in crisis situations all over the world. We are aiming for lunch time on Thursday 28 November.
As well as our high profile international work following emergencies such as the crisis in Syria, the British Red Cross is also very active running projects to help vulnerable people in local communities across Devon and the UK beyond such as our emergency response service, care in the home service, first aid training and much, much more. The money raised through this event will help this vital work.
The secret to making this a thoroughly enjoyable and worry-free experience for all concerned is to raise the bail money before the event – that way as a ‘felon’ there is less pressure on them on the day and without worrying about a more permanent stay! #
We will be undertaking a huge PR drive around the event and will thoroughly take care of our ‘felons’.
