What a combination – All the N’s + a growing guest list…….

October 2, 2013

All the N’s “November, Networking, Noledge and Nohow” – OK – not quite all the N’s but a great opportunity for people in business to get a great networking experience with the UK’s longest running, monthly lunch time networking organisation.

Those booked to attend – hot off the press – 4/11/13

The event at Exeter Golf and Country Club starts with the seminar, before THE networking lunch, offering you the chance to benefit from the “A – Z of networking – your route map to successful networking”

Networking is definitely a buzz word today. Type “Networking” into Google and you get 670,000,000 results, type “business networking” and you get 433,000,000 results, “business networking events uk” 65,400,000 results and a mere 210,000 results for business “networking events exeter”.  But why?

With so much choice and material available there must be reason and combined with the facts that

  • People talk about it.
  • People hear about it.
  • People want to do it more effectively.
  • You have heard that it works
  • You have heard that it is a “waste of time”

There will be questions

  • But why?
  • Why do people network?
  • What do they hope to accomplish?
  • Why are there scare stories?
  • Could networking work for you and your business

This seminar will take you through the who, what why, where, when and how of networking – a whistle stop tour that will leave you better informed, more confident and inspired to network!  Hosted by Sean Humby – Director and host at Business Network (SW) Ltd – the UK’s longest running monthly, lunchtime networking organisation.  A collector and compiler of the top networking knowledge from around the globe – see here for more details, along with

The seminar is followed by THE networking lunch where you will have the opportunity to meet

♦ generate an ROI on your networking

What is the NETWORKING lunch all about?

11.45am. Arrival for drinks before lunch; an informal free range networking session, you have a choice of wine, fruit juice or water.

12.30pm. Sit down for 2 course served lunch (bread rolls, main course and dessert with coffee) and formal networking at your table – you will sit on a table with 7 or 8 other decision makers – none of whom do what you do – a table host will ensure that each person get at least (and no more than) 3 minutes to introduce themselves and their business and the benefits that it brings to others.
During the lunch each decision maker at your table will have 3 minutes to explain to the others the benefits that you and your organisation can offer; the type of business that you are looking for and also how other businesses can help you. Quoting Oscar – your chance to  “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
This is where the conversations lead to connections and collaborations that will make your business more successful.  To quote Oscar Wilde and as a useful tip whenever you go networking “I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train.” – your diary will have great examples of the clients you work with, the clients you are looking to work with  and the success/benefits that you bring to them.
1.30pm – table to table networking – every person has a list of who’s at the lunch and at which table they are sat.  Your“The nicest feeling in the world is to do a good deed anonymously-and have somebody find out.” – Oscar Wilde
1.40pm – Lunch speaker – Guy Arnold – Great or Poor
Event finishes at 2pm – you still have the opportunity of carrying on your conversations, arranging a one to one, using the Hotel’s facilities.
All this is £34.00 (Inc VAT) covering seminar, coffee, 2 course served lunch with drinks incl. wine, delegate list, free car parking, follow up details after event – Generating an ROI on your networking
