Bristol Business Network member announces sponsorship

Bristol Business Network member St John’s Chambers is proud to announce its sponsorship of the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ Award at the first ever Bristol Venus Awards. This prestigious award ceremony recognises the efforts and accomplishments of local business women. For Chambers it will help raise our profile with businesses in Bristol, and promote our public access services to high achieving business women.

The Bristol Venus Awards was launched for the first time on the 1st October at the Marriott Royal Hotel. In attendance were the award category sponsors Natwest, along with other sponsors including Heart Global, Spire Hospital, ‘Women outside the box’ and Stone & Co Chartered Accountants. Bristol Mayor George Ferguson spoke about how important it was to recognise the achievements of local entrepreneurial business women within Bristol and Somerset.

We are encouraging people to nominate forward-thinking women who have excelled in their area of business. The glittering awards ceremony to announce the winners will be held on the 21st March at the Marriott Royal Hotel.

              Small Business (for a small business with a big attitude)
              Employee of the Year (a women who goes beyond the call of duty)
              Home Based Business (recognising successful homes based businesses)
              Inspirational Women (for a women that goes out of her way to help others)
              Customer Service Award (for the individual or business that goes that extra mile)
              International Business Award (for businesses doing business with people outside the UK)
              Business Mother (a women who successfully juggles business and family life)
              Entrepreneur (for a women who dares to take risks in business that pay off)
              High Achiever (a women who has broken through the corporate glass ceiling)
              Employer of the Year (for a great female friendly boss or manager – male or female)
              Green Business (for businesses with initiatives that consider the environment)
              Lifetime Achievement Award (a lady over 35 who has worked hard and been successful for many years)
              Networker of the Year (a networker that consistently refers business contacts within her business community)
              Technology and Online Business (a company with over 50% of its business online or a company that develops or supports technology)
 
To nominate, visit Venus Awards website. Please note that you do have to register first (only takes a few seconds) before you can nominate someone. Once you have nominated someone that person will then receive an e-mail requesting them to complete an application form.
