Business Seminar before lunch hosted by Julia Bramble

Facebook for your Business?

The majority of businesses possibly have some kind of presence on Facebook but how many are really using the social media giant for its full potential? Have they failed to understand the benefits that Facebook marketing can bring to their business? Or is it a lack of understanding? A fear to get involved? Don’t know where to start?
The numbers are astounding – 1.15 billion users, 700 million daily users, average time per Facebook visit is 20 minutes and 8.3 hours is the average amount of time each user spends per month. If that doesn’t grab your attention, how about the fact that 70% of monthly active Facebook users are engaged and connected to a local business?
Julia’s seminar will show you how you too can be using the power of Facebook to ramp up your marketing. From branding and first impressions (don’t forget- people will be searching for your business on there), through to customer service and what stuff you actually need to post and when, we’ll walk through how getting Facebook ‘right’ could have a big impact on your business in 2013.
We’ll even peak into the scary world of Facebook ads – because they’re all for the taking right now, just like Google PPC was 5 years ago.
And don’t think it’s just for B2Cs selling products – B2Bs and businesses selling services are doing very well from Facebook too.
We’ll look at real-life examples so you can see just how other businesses are getting it working for them!
Whether you Facebook or not don’t miss this seminar – it will be an extremely worthwhile investment of your time.
10.00am – 11.45am. Coffee and networking from 10am
Present Number 4 – THE Networking Lunch

11.45am. Arrival for drinks before lunch; an informal free range networking session, you have a choice of wine, fruit juice or water.

12.30pm. Sit down for 2 course served lunch (bread rolls, main course and dessert with coffee) and formal networking at your table – you will sit on a table with 7 or 8 other decision makers – none of whom do what you do – a table host will ensure that each person get at least (and no more than) 3 minutes to introduce themselves and their business and the benefits that it brings to others.
During the lunch each decision maker at your table will have 3 minutes to explain to the others the benefits that you and your organisation can offer; the type of business that you are looking for and also how other businesses can help you.
This is where the conversations lead to connections and collaborations that will make your business more successful.  To quote Oscar Wilde and as a useful tip whenever you go networking “I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train.” – your diary will have great examples of the clients you work with, the clients you are looking to work with  and the success/benefits that you bring to them.
1.30pm – table to table networking – every person has a list of who’s at the lunch and at which table they are sat.
Followed by……Present Number 5
Charity Auction to Support Member Charities – Devon Air Ambulance Trust, Families for Children, St Loye’s Foundation and WESC Foundation
Our auctioneer will be David Fitzgerald (Fitz) – from BBC Radio Devon!
“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed”– Maya Angelou
Any prizes that you wish to donate that will encourage people to really want to bid for, would be great! Your time, expertise are all valuable and business enhancing; so are spa experiences, hotel stays, dining experiences, cases of fine wine, sporting memorabilia and I am sure there are many, many things that you have (or can get!) that can be auctioned!
Smaller lots will be bundled together to make fabulous lots!
Any contribution will be acknowledged (if you would like it to be) both in the promotion of the event and auction using the BNSW Blog (averaging over 1,000 views per month), via Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook.
