More than a coincidence as on 5th February 1869 the largest alluvial gold nugget*(weighing over 109kg!) in history, called the “Welcome Stranger” was found!

Networking is very much about discovering your gold nuggets in terms of great relationships formed through conversations with a wide variety of people – some will be strangers – at least to begin with as since the first event in 1993 Exeter Business Network has ensured that the decision makers attending the monthly, lunchtime events have benefited in terms of generating a great ROI on their networking!

The Business Seminar before lunch (nugget No.1)
Starting 10.30am – coffee and networking (nugget No.2) from 10am

This seminar will provide a step by step guide to creating a marketing campaign that will stand out from the competition, attract attention and increase sales! As well as practical tips and examples of great campaigns the seminar will also highlight some poorly executed campaigns to help you avoid the same mistakes.
Your seminar host (nugget No.4)– Alison set up Straight Marketing in 2010 following 13 years of experience working with professional service firms – as Head of Business Development and Marketing for Ashfords LLP, a top 100 law firm with offices across the South West. She developed her career in London, working for a number of Blue Chip firms including one of the ‘Magic Circle’ law firms, before returning to her roots in the South West.

The Networking Lunch (Nugget No.5)
Drinks and informal, free range networking from 11.45am. Sit down at 12.30pm for 2 course served networking lunch with coffee. (dietary requirements catered for)
You sit with other decision makers (Nuggets Number 5,6,7,& 8) – none of whom do what you do. There is a table host at each table and you have a 3 minute presentation to do for the others around your table – enthuse and inspire and build relationships. PLUS you will have a copy of the seating plan which lists everyone attending , their name, business name and what their business does and importantly what table they are sat on enabling you to network the room (Nugget No.9) – more business building opportunities!
