Jessie May Caring at Work event being hosted by Sean Humby
I am delighted to have been asked to help support the Jessie May Caring At Work Networking Event on International Nurses Day – Monday 12th May
An evening of networking and socialising, in a relaxed atmosphere, with Jessie May. Jessie May has teamed up with our wonderful supporters at Simply Health in their new Centre of Excellence on Redland Hill with views right across Bristol.
The evening will give people the opportunity to mix with contacts and colleagues old and new and also a chance to find out a bit more about the work of Jessie May and how we support families with terminally ill children across Bristol and Bath.
The evening also launches the start of the first Jessie May Week – a week of fundraising and awareness for this worthwhile charity and we very much hope you will be able to join us for this special event. The evening will commence at 6pm and end at 8pm with canapés and drinks.
How you can help
The Jessie May Trust is a local charity that provides vital nursing care, within the family home, for children who have life limiting conditions. In addition they provide respite days, packed with activities, with expert care on hand giving parents and siblings a chance to do some of the things you and I take for granted – such as the weekly shop or perhaps even a trip to the zoo.

How your Business can make a difference
Could your business raise £1,000 by May 1st 2014 to help sponsor a Jessie May Nurse?
Jessie May Nurses use their incredible skills to enrich children’s short lives and provide high quality care for the whole family. It’s vitally important that, when a child does eventually die, their family has lots of positive memories to look back on.
Caring at Work is a new initiative enabling local business to support local families. In return for your commitment to raise £1,000 to help sponsor a Jessie May Nurse we’ll support your business every step of the way and promote your involvement with us through the local press, radio and TV which in turn will raise your company profile in the local area. Your customers and suppliers will see how seriously you take your social responsibility towards the local community.
You will have great fun raising funds – it’s good for staff morale and an excellent way to build teamwork across your business.
All participating companies will be invited to a Jessie May reception and award ceremony on 12th May 2014 to thank You for your participation and to celebrate International Nurse’s Day.
