From May’s Bristol Business Network event

May 15, 2014

On the day that Mark Zuckerberg was born (1984) who has been quoted as saying “Facebook was created originally, not as a company.  It was built to connect people” the Bristol Business Network event certainly has comparisons – albeit older than Facebook, with revenue not quite as large or as many registered – it has for the last 20 years been bringing businesses together for conversations, connections and collaborations

May’s event was held at Hilton Garden Inn, Bristol and the following will give you a feel for the event….

As well as numerous conversations and connections being made everyone was treated to a fabulous 10 minutes from Matt Richardson  – Recognition Express – who took us all through a picture and prop laden tour of the 1980’s – Star Wars, Sony, Sinclair and Spectrum to name a few….

There was also an exchange of business needs

St John’s Chambers – Public Access

St John’s Chambers is the largest barristers’ set in the South West, with over 80 members, including seven Queens Counsel, and we can accept instructions by Public Access

The Public Access Scheme allows individuals and organisations to instruct barristers directly on most civil matters. Business Managers, CEO’s and Directors that are responsible for their company’s legal advice and spend can instruct our Barristers direct. This gives them access to one legal expert rather than two, resulting in significant cost savings.

The Jessie May Trust  Time for Tea

12th-18th May 2014 is the first ever Jessie May Week and we are asking you to find Time For Tea and pop the kettle on and hold a tea party for friends, in return for a small donation to Jessie May.
Every penny raised will support the vital work of Jessie May Nurses who care for local terminally ill children in their own homes, using all their skills and experience to ensure they, and their families, can make the most of the precious remaining time they have together.

Will you put the kettle on?
