The List

junebr2014

These can be illustrated in the words of a few people who celebrate their birthday on the same day as the event!
It takes generosity to discover the whole through others. If you realize you are only a violin, you can open yourself up to the world by playing your role in the concert.  Jacques Yves Cousteau – wise words indeed and generosity is something that is key to networking – as Bob Burg says “Givers gain” – this is not just leads, orders – far from it – it is your time to listen, to be helpful, to connect, to proffer advice, market intelligence and have a conversation to build a relationship.
This is an invitation and introduction and information for you to participate in a super event
The event details….
  • Wednesday 11th June 2014
  • Seminar before lunch (coffee & networking from 10am) – “Perception & the last resort”
  • THE Networking lunch (networking over drinks from 11.45am, sit down at 12.30pm)

Vince Lombardi – the famous football coach said “The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual.” and attending this event can help you achieve more as you build and grow your network through your conversations. And Lombardi reinforces this with his quote “People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society.
So what people and businesses will you be connecting with….here’s a who’s who of those Who attended the May event

More details – the event is as follows….

The Business Seminar before lunch

“Perception and the Last Resort”
A humorous tour of misperception and where this can ultimately lead to.
We all like to think we are rational, business people but our brains are hot wired to see the first thing that makes sense to it. This is a primeval defence strategy which undoubtedly help us evade large predators (sabre tooth tigers, giant snakes and prehistoric tax collectors!).
Today, in an increasingly complex digital world, it is easy to misinterpret or mis-perceive what is in front of us and make imperfect decisions. The consequences of imperfect decisions (decisions based on inaccurate or misleading information) can lead to some rocky places including…… the Last Resort.
FRP Advisory, a firm providing restructuring, recovery and insolvency services throughout the South West and Wales.
Coffee and networking from 10am – seminar starts at 10.30am followed by
THE Networking Lunch
Pre lunch drinks and informal networking from 11.45am. Sit down for 2 course lunch with coffee at 12.30pm
You sit with other decision makers – none of whom do what you do. There is a table host at each table and you have a 3 minute presentation to do for the others around your table – enthuse and inspire and build relationships. PLUS you will have a copy of the seating plan which lists everyone attending , their name, business name and what their business does and importantly what table they are sat on enabling you to network the room – more business building opportunities!
Lunch speaker – Mark Leveridge – The Strolling Magician
Event finishes at 2pm
Cost of event – seminar, coffee, 2 course served lunch with wine and coffee and numerous decision makers, delegate list, dietary requirements catered for, post event correspondence to enable you to follow up – £36.00* (Inc VAT) per person
What you need to bring – your enthusiasm for your business (If you aren’t fired with enthusiasm, you will be fired with enthusiasm. Vince Lombardi), some business cards and a willingness to have a conversation….
Car parking is available at the hotel is complimentary first come first served
I’ll finish with a quote from John Constable – any networking event has the opportunity to be beautiful in terms of the opportunities that can be created with the right attitude…. “I never saw an ugly thing in my life: for let the form of an object be what it may, – light, shade, and perspective will always make it beautiful.
