What a Blockbuster of an event – September’s Bristol Business Network lunch

September 18, 2014
“Giving is better than receiving because giving starts the receiving process” – Jim Rohn b 17/9/1930
Hilton Garden Inn, Bristol was the venue for the Business Network SW event on Wednesday 17th September
The event began with a business seminar hosted by Debbie Rylands from Amicus Law.  The seminar looked at the way that family law (including pre-nuptial agreements, constructive & property deeds) when drafted by an expert can prevent a great deal of stress if the relationship breaks down.  Subjects too numerous to mention but all vitally important to ensure that you have the best in place when embarking on marriage/cohabitation and protecting your assets in the way that is best for you.  Plus subjects important to business – from the SRA retainer letter which you must have in place before embarking on any legal advice, flexible working regulations, zero hour contracts and exclusivity (or not)…
After the seminar there was a networking opportunity over drinks in the City Cafe and the event host, Sean Humby (me!), shared a real story of perserverence……49 days with 82 hours flying, numerous stops, crashes, plane rebuilds for a $50,000 prize……and not unlike networking!

was an American aviation pioneer. He made the first transcontinental airplane flight across the U.S. from September 17, 1911

The room was full of conversation, energy, laughter and enthusiasm as positive connections were made during the served 2 course lunch.
