Reporting from Bristol Business Network’s April event – what a buzz!

April 23, 2015

This report replicates the email that is sent to all those that attended the event – some aspects are for those who were there only!  I am sure that you will get the gist!

I will say that the buzz was amazing – a constant thrum of conversation, energised and enthusiastic people having conversations and building the connections that will certianly be enhancing their business!

The opening quote – networking in a nutshell –  “Sow good services: sweet remembrances will grow from them” Madame de Stael b 22/4/1760 – they say things never change!

Report starts here!

Hello

Thank you for attending, participating and contributing to the Bristol Business Network event yesterday and bringing your conversation, energy and enthusiasm!

I trust that you benefited from – connections, knowledge, opportunities, expertise, perhaps a supplier, a one to one, even an insight into the people you met as people and not solely “business people”!

I did mention a book that you may find interesting, thought provoking – I certainly have and I’m only 100 pages in! It’s The Icarus Deception by Seth Godin – he also has a great blog – well worth reading as well!

The article on geese and the relationship to networking is here – feel free to share!  Honk! Honk! LinkedIn link is here

TWO “Thank you’s” to Ken Abbott – One for the great seminar in the morning – Tales from the far side of the learning curve – 12 lessons that covered everything from postcards to A3, outsourcing, networking, customers, Alan Partridge, 100 lorries and even Billy Connolly!  An informative, entertaining and succinct way to approach business – Ken will be delivering this at the Exeter event on September 9th! And Two for the photographs – I will share these later – feel free to contact Ken if you would like your event documented by photo’s!

Thank you to Matt Richardson – Recognition Express – for the brilliantly thought out, entertaining and hilarious 10 minutes.  What can I say other than – fantastic!  And my apologies for not spiking my hair!  Contact Matt if you would like to enjoy the benefits of great service and super promotional items from a massive range!
