Bristol Business Network August event – packed with quotes!

August 13, 2015

Subject – Business Network SW Bristol event

Dateline – 12th August 2015

Venue – Mercure Holland House Hotel & Spa

Reporting from the event – Sean Humby…….

It began with a quote…..

“The great accomplishments of man have resulted in the transmission of ideas and enthusiasm” Thomas J Watson (founder of IBM – first personal computer – the 5150 – launched 12/8/1981

That led to a business seminar…

Alex Johnston and Mike Haigh from Domus Financial delivered a tremendous seminar on Cash/Savings Management – amid the confusion in the market place on how your bank accounts work (or should work!) as highlighted in the clip that Alex showed of BBC Breakfast with Paul Lewis.  Alex covered how you can make your money work harder for you without the need to invest in property, stocks or shares – demonstrated this with some real examples of people they have helped – shared the 6 principles of saving – talked about the FSCS – and showed the unique tool they use….

Alex even shared a few quotes!  All cash related!

And thank you to Andy King and Damon from LP Wealth Management for talking about the fantastic way in which the St James’s Place Foundation supports charities that work with children and young people.

And also whether we need a batsman, a bowler or an all rounder!
