Your visit would include a look inside our 24×7 Operations Centre, our two (football pitch sized) IT Halls, which house one of the World’s most powerful Super Computers, a look at our Instrument and Satellite Enclosures to see how we make weather observations (these are outside, subject to dry weather and daylight) and a general look around our hi-tech modern building, probably popping by our Research Departments, Press Office, Forecaster Training College and a look around our National Meteorological Library and Archives, to find out what the weather was like on your Birthday and discover how the Met Office has helped make history, such as assisting the D-Day Landings.
