November’s event – business seminar and networking lunch

October 29, 2019

Making Meaningful Business Connections On Behalf Of Our Members since 1993

There is a very good reason why Bristol Business Network is still so popular over 26 years on from its launch – it works!

Attracting senior decision-makers to the monthly lunchtime events, the unique, professional and business focused format offers an effective environment for building close working links and establishing that invaluable ‘support network’ of business contacts.

I shouldn’t be telling you how great the events are – come to an event and hear it from our members who will give you a clearer picture as to how they have benefited from being involved, some for over 20 years!

The next event is Wednesday 27 November 2019 – The Cowshed

  • Hosted by Sean Humby
  • You benefit from the Business seminar – “Stop wasting money at Trade shows and exhibitions”
  • You will meet other business owners, directors & decision makers over drinks
  • You have relationship building conversations over a served, 2 course lunch
  • Your table is hosted & you don’t sit with anyone who does what you do
  • Back to your office for the afternoon as event finishes at 2pm.

Business Seminar before THE networking lunch

Coffee and networking from 10am and session starts at 10.30am (optional, always rewarding, included in the price and a great networking opportunity!)

Hosted by Mark Leveridge – Professional Strolling Magician

“Stop Wasting Money At Trade Shows And Exhibitions”.

Many businesses attend exhibitions and invest much time, energy and money in organising their display and literature. However, perhaps surprisingly, there are other aspects of the actual event which are sometimes overlooked, such as what are the specific aims of attending, how will an impact be made, what will help to attract customers and more.

Drawing on his many years of experience using his magic at trade events to help companies achieve their goals, Mark goes through a check list of good and bad practice that he has observed at exhibitions, offers a number of important questions that companies should perhaps ask before they attend, analyses why so many exhibitors come away from events feeling disappointed, and suggests ways to increase the likelihood of being successful.

Mark will also perform one or two examples of the magic that he has used to help companies in the past.

Then THE Networking Lunch…..

  • Networking over drinks 11.45am – 12.30pm
  • Sit down for 2 course, served lunch with coffee at 12.30pm. Structured networking around your table with other decision makers. Lunch finishes 2pm……
  • 1.30pm – table to table networking. Your opportunity to go and talk to someone else in the room (the seating plan will help you locate them), continue your conversation or start a new one with someone else on your table. As a member at subsequent events you will be sat with different people
  • 1.40pm – The 10 minutes – Inge Dowden
  • Event finishes at 2pm – feel free to continue to network with the others in the room. It is a great time to make those appointments or even use the venue facilities to continue your conversations.

Your investment (a claimable expense) is £39.00 covering business effectiveness session, coffee, 2 course served lunch (main meal & dessert with coffee) with drinks – wine available, event programme, delegate list, dietary requirements are catered for.
