Business Network SW  provides decision makers from businesses the opportunity to develop and enhance mutually beneficial relationships at monthly lunchtime events in Bristol

Business Network SW holds a Bronze Award in the Employer Recognition Scheme, Armed Forces Covenant and has pledged intent to support Defence and the Armed Forces.

  • You benefit from the free business seminar
  • You will meet other business owners, directors & decision makers over drinks 11.45am – 12.30pm
  • You have relationship building conversations over a served, 2 course lunch from 12.30pm
  • Your table is hosted & you don’t sit with anyone who does what you do
  • You get an event programme full of great opportunities, offers and the delegate list.
  • Your dietary requirements can be catered for
  • Back to your office for the afternoon as event finishes at 2pm.
Business Network SW does this by

– providing an environment to enable you to be relaxed and comfortable building relationships with the others there

– having educational business seminars that can positively impact your business

– the unique seating plan system gives you a huge variety of contacts

– giving you opportunities for you to promote your business and expertise

– the best structured networking from the UK’s longest running lunchtime networking organisation

– enabling you to build a team of advocates and ambassadors for your business

Business Network SW Charities

Business Network SW supports a number of charities who are members.  This is done through the events where the charities grow and build their networks; through the promotion and raising awareness of what the charities do and how people can get involved; through fundraising activities including raffles and auctions.
The details here are periodically updated but by far the best place to go is the Charity website – links below

The Bristol Business Network Charity

Jessie May

Jessie May supports families who have children with life limiting illnesses. Children who will sadly not live to reach adulthood. Families with a terminally ill child often find juggling ‘round the clock care with everyday tasks an overwhelming struggle.  Parents and their children cannot do the things you and I take for granted; things like having a job, going on a family outing, or simply being able to sleep through the night.  Our nurses visit these families in their own homes, providing expert care for terminally ill children. These visits enable parents to step away from their caring responsibilities for a few hours, enabling them to pop out to the shops, help their other children with their homework or simply to sit down and eat dinner.  Our service is so special because it enables a parent to have a break, confident that their son or daughter is in the care of someone who understands the complexities of their medical needs, and crucially someone they trust. Jessie May is providing a vital service in the heart of the Bristol community – no other organisation in the Bristol area offers this type of care, including the NHS.

In addition to respite care at home, Jessie May also provides nurse’s telephone support, bereavement support, holiday respite sessions and family fun days. www.jessiemaytrust.org.uk

WHAT MEMBERS and Visitors SAY

Sean owns and hosts the Business Network South West networking lunches currently held in prestigious venues across Bristol.
He has proven to be a valuable advocate of our ‘Defence People’ work and an indispensable introducer to other positive senior business leaders in his area of operation.
I regularly recommend Sean and his Bristol networking events as easy going, informative and delicious methods of gaining and developing mutually beneficial business relationships.

Different types of networking seem to suit different types of people, yet I’ve never heard anyone say that Sean’s lunches weren’t their type of thing!

Thanks for your support, good humour, encouragement and introductions Sean!

Jon Beake – Senior Regional Employer Engagement Director WRFCA October 2017

“Lovely to meet you yesterday.  Great to be sat around the table with a bunch of people like yourself.  Having been to a lot of networking events in the past I would have to say yesterday was one of the best as once the three minute pitch was out of the way, it was a great opportunity to get to know the people behind the company. Thanks for making me feel welcome.” NB – Smartphone Quiz

“I’ve been introduced to great bunch of like minded businesses within a friendly &supportive network, I’ve re evaluated my marketing efforts following some interesting & thought provoking seminars, I’ve found new contacts that I can refer my own contacts to and most of all I’ve completed 5 design projects, 3 directly with members and 2 following referrals from members, that have more than paid for my membership.”JF Multi-Story-Thinking

From February 2015

You sat me at the same table as Huw Johns last month whom I had a brief chat to at the end of lunch which led to meeting one of his clients in Cardiff a couple of weeks later after which I sent him a proposal and have now had confirmation that they wish to commission a whiteboard animation that will explain his clients proposition for use on their website and other marketing activities.
Kind regards,
Sam

Sean’s Business Network SW meetings played a huge part in helping me to establish and build EBRS. Of the various networking groups I tried, his monthly lunchtime sessions were the ones I found most effective.
They provided a relaxed but structured way of meeting with other small business owners and decision-makers in larger companies. Consequently I made connections which have led to ongoing work and referrals and I have also sourced a number of other services from fellow networkers over a four year period.
Sean always takes an active interest in what I do and took time to understand EBRS. My only regret is that I rarely seem to have time to attend the lunches now – I’m usually too busy with client commitments – but this is in part testimony to the network’s effectiveness

BNSW events are always the first thing in my diary each year as unmissable events. In 2013 the amount of business we generated from BNSW introductions will cover the cost of lunches for the next 60 years or so. Plus there is the opportunity to learn from other members & keep up to date with business trends. Not to mention great food with even better company. Highly recommended

I have been a member of BNSW for over two years & in that time have found the networking event to be the best in our area. We have built new relationships with other members that have lead to work, referrals & friendships. Sean is a natural host and does his best to make sure all members get the most from their membership. He also works hard to ensure that everyone is at ease by making introductions, offering advice on how to network & also being a jolly nice chap. I can not recommend it enough.

“Sean has long been instrumental in putting me in contact with not only my peer group – I work alone and this is instrumental in staying abreast of what local Bristol business are doing – but also providing the forum for me to generate leads.
