Making Meaningful Business Connections On Behalf Of Our Members since 1993

There is a very good reason why Bristol Business Network is still so popular since it’s launch in 1993 – it works!

Attracting senior decision-makers to the monthly lunchtime events, the unique, professional and business focused format offers an effective environment for building close working links and establishing that invaluable ‘support network’ of business contacts.

I shouldn’t be telling you how great the events are – come to an event and hear it from our members who will give you a clearer picture as to how they have benefited from being involved, some for over 20 years!

Jessie May

Jessie May supports families who have children with life limiting illnesses. Children who will sadly not live to reach adulthood. Families with a terminally ill child often find juggling ‘round the clock care with everyday tasks an overwhelming struggle.  Parents and their children cannot do the things you and I take for granted; things like having a job, going on a family outing, or simply being able to sleep through the night.  Our nurses visit these families in their own homes, providing expert care for terminally ill children. These visits enable parents to step away from their caring responsibilities for a few hours, enabling them to pop out to the shops, help their other children with their homework or simply to sit down and eat dinner.  Our service is so special because it enables a parent to have a break, confident that their son or daughter is in the care of someone who understands the complexities of their medical needs, and crucially someone they trust. Jessie May is providing a vital service in the heart of the Bristol community – no other organisation in the Bristol area offers this type of care, including the NHS.

In addition to respite care at home, Jessie May also provides nurse’s telephone support, bereavement support, holiday respite sessions and family fun days.

A recent LinkedIn recommendation….from June 2019 – thank you Tara Clist

I’ve been in business for 9 years and in that time, have attended many, many networking events and been a member of various networking organisations. I gave networking a break for a couple of years but kick started it again with Sean’s Bristol Business Network monthly lunches. People really do buy from people and Sean is a genuinely good guy who wants to help and is really giving and generous with his time and connections, in a genuine & valuable way. Lots of people and groups promise things when you join and once you are a member, all to often, you find that they don’t materialise. Sean really does deliver on his promises and has been incredibly kind and positive, he has a really in-depth knowledge of business, networking and relationship building – and his lunches are always fun.

“As a business coach I know how important it is to meet people in person in order to be able to make useful business connections, and at the Bristol Business Network meetings you get to do exactly that. I have been a member of BNSW for 7 years now and have made many useful connections, as well as friends along the way. And as with any business, I make sure that I don’t just go to meetings for the sake of a nice lunch (although that is always provided in this case), I also want to make sure I get a good return on my investment of time and money. I’m happy to say that over the 4 years my ROI on the BNSW membership has been 495%, which is just about as good as it gets in my opinion. That’s why I never hesitate to renew my membership, why I make sure I attend every meeting and why I would wholeheartedly recommend this network to any business owner who wants to grow their business through referrals. Thanks for the great opportunities Sean. Inge Dowden – Business Growth and Happiness Specialist”

“If you are looking you join a business network in Bristol then this is by far the best! Not only will you get to meet some interesting and influential people in a networking format which is different and really works but you will also get the opportunity to attend free monthly seminars on a wide range of topics which will be useful to you and your business – and if all that weren’t enough you get the very effective social media support from the network host, Sean Humby”  David Doughty – Excellencia  August 2018

Sean owns and hosts the Business Network South West networking lunches currently held in prestigious venues across Bristol.
He has proven to be a valuable advocate of our ‘Defence People’ work and an indispensable introducer to other positive senior business leaders in his area of operation.
I regularly recommend Sean and his Bristol networking events as easy going, informative and delicious methods of gaining and developing mutually beneficial business relationships.  Different types of networking seem to suit different types of people, yet I’ve never heard anyone say that Sean’s lunches weren’t their type of thing!  Thanks for your support, good humour, encouragement and introductions Sean!
